begin to talk about the artists performing on stage at Jazz Re: Found 2010, and we begin with one of the first groups that has confirmed his presence: it is the British Cinematic Orchestra .
Founded in the late 90's from Jason Swinscoe, in less than ten years has produced seven albums (plus a live at the Albert Hall in London) and became one of the reference groups of electronic jazz. How few in the world, they know in a very elegant blend jazz elements and electronic sounds, rhythms and sounds warm mellow broken beat, already boasting countless imitations.
The name "Cinematic Orchestra" is no accident: they have worked more than a soundtrack, writing them from scratch or re-interpreting classic themes. Among the works to music by them are the classic Dziga Vertov "The man with the camera " (presented at the International Festival of Culture in Porto in 2001), and the documentary The Crimson Wing: Mystery of the Flamingos 2008.
But do not be afraid, beyond these highly conceptual work, the Cinematic is a band that knows how to entertain and to dream, live, and that is generous. Plays are obliged album "Every Day" (2002) and "Ma Fleur" (2007). For a listen to it immediately instead throw an eye (and ear) to video All That You Give of Flite , or of Diabolus.
The Cinematic Orchestra will perform Friday, June 11. And if you lose, you deserve Tiziano Ferro!
